Dana leads Privacy Security Engineering at Meta, protecting users from data abuse. Previously, she led Security Research for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, researching and developing cyber security threat detections. She started her career in an elite Israeli military cyber intelligence unit (‘8200’), and proceeded to work for Big Data start-ups and Google. For the past decade, Dana has been leading cutting-edge research across various cyber threat landscapes, developing detection techniques to protect users at scale. She presented this work in top Cyber Security conferences (Black Hat USA, Blue Hat, SecTor). In 2022, Dana’s work was recognized by Forbes Israel 30 Under 30 list. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of Cyber Security experts, volunteering with high school students and undergrads, and training women in reverse engineering at Blackhoodie.
