Alex Orleans is a principal threat intelligence at Splunk (a Cisco company) and an adjunct lecturer at the Alperovitch Institute at Johns Hopkins SAIS. He has over nine years of experience in cybersecurity and intelligence analysis, including as the manager of the CrowdStrike Intelligence group tracking state-nexus threat actors, and as the first dedicated cyberespionage analyst on FireEye’s Cyber-Physical Intelligence Team. Prior to his work in threat intelligence, Alex was a contractor supporting senior-level decisionmaking on cybersecurity resilience and risk management in the public and private sectors, including for the National Security Council and critical infrastructure providers.
