Jonathan Heckinger
Director, Threat Detection, Splunk
Jonathan Heckinger is the Director of Threat Detection at Splunk (a Cisco company), where he leads the development of advanced detection strategies to counter cyber threats. He has nearly two decades of experience, building and scaling security programs to meet the demands of a wide variety of government and corporate customers. Following 11 years of service as a Cybersecurity Operations Officer in the United States Air Force — during which he secured, maintained, and supported critical networks across the Department of Defense — Jonathan built and led the first-ever security operations center dedicated to classified cloud services at a major cloud provider. He has since worked extensively in private sector detection and response management, most recently as leader of Splunk’s Detection Engineering team.
