Robert Barr is an accomplished board-level executive and public speaker with a strong background in cybersecurity and technology governance. As the founding chair of the PDA National Cybersecurity Governance Committee, appointed by the PDA founder and CEO, he plays a crucial role in preparing board directors to effectively govern in areas such as transformation, technology, cybersecurity and privacy. Robert’s expertise extends beyond governance, as he serves on technology boards and a not-for-profit organization and has co-founded several companies.
Throughout his career, Robert has demonstrated his strategic acumen by providing market and information strategy, as well as driving governance and transformation initiatives across diverse industries. He has collaborated with leading companies like Oracle, as well as cybersecurity firms such as Check Point Software Technologies and Cellebrite. Additionally, he has worked with startups across various sectors, leveraging technology-driven transformations to generate substantial market impact and enhance shareholder value.
Robert holds a master’s degree in economics for management of information systems from the London School of Economics, as well as a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship.
